My sweetheart and I celebrated our anniversary this week…it’s amazing how fast time flies by!   Though we’ve been married 8 years, we have actually known each other for almost 20 yrs when we met in our HS Pre-Calculus class.  He gave the excuse that he wanted to check our homework together.  And it wasn’t til later that year I discovered he had a 100 average in the class!  :)  All kidding aside, I cannot give him enough credit and gratitude for being my #1 supporter all these years.  He makes me a better person and I only hope that I am the loving, giving partner to him that he’s been to me.

Enough about my sappy self…onto the real reason for this post!  This was a dream session for me…this lil guy was absolutely amazing!   There were so many great ones to choose from, I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites!  I’ll have to share a slideshow of our session in a future post.  Take a peek and let me know what you think!

E – your session is next!  I hope to have your sneak peeks ready early next week. I am super excited to work on your images as she was such an absolute angel for us!  Have a blessed weekend!

Sweet dreams.

I am in the midst of editing a couple of newborn sessions from last week, but I couldn’t resist sharing this before turning in for the night.  I think this has to be one of my favorite newborn images to-date…

Night, Night…and sweet dreams.

This lil guy has the most infectious smile, EVER.   His twinkling eyes and adorable smile make my heart happy.  It’s no wonder, considering his mommy is such a sweetheart.  I am lucky to call her my friend.

Thanks, K, for your sweet patience and understanding!  I love you, girl!  And here’s your storyboard sneak peeks, enjoy!

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anyone so happy when singing “The Itsy Bitsy Spider”!   Adorable, just adorable!

My lil man.

Being sick this week really put things into perspective for me.  Since I couldn’t talk much (without sending myself into a coughing fit), I did a lot more listening than talking…and a lot more observing than directing.  Sometimes the Lord really uses the most unideal situtations (like being sick) to make you appreciate how good you have it.  I couldn’t have survived this week without my darling hubby…and thankfully, my lil man (a honest-to-goodness miniature version of my husband) stepped up to help mom out as well.

It is truly amazing to me how much E resembles his father…from his hazel-colored eyes to his never-ending curiosity.  He is responsible, loving and affectionate, protective, generous, contemplative and oh so sharp.  He shares the same interests as his Daddy…math and science, electronics, computers, Star Wars, the military, and just like his Daddy, he possesses an incredible love for the Lord.

Our church is participating in a series of sermons entitled “The Love Challenge”.  We are reading I Corinthians 13 and have been challenged to expand our understanding of love, how to love God more fully, and how to love others sacrificially.

My son came home from church last Sunday and wrote this poem (he typed it himself on the computer!):

“Love Song” By Ethan…

Love is patient

I love you !

how do you love me and god?

you don’t have anything to fear in the love of god

god is here to protect you!

you have to love the days he made

and the creatures of the earth

love the lord and give him all your crops

love everything he gives you.

Do to others what you want them to do to you.

E – You are wise beyond your years.  Thank you for making me a mom.  I am so proud to be called your mom.  You are the best gift I could have ever imagined.  Happy Valentine’s Day, my sweetheart!
