Transitions.

As we move into the new year, I’m still optimistic to find balance between scheduling time for family, friends, work, household, exercise, and a daily quiet time, not in that order, of course!  (Speaking of which, I have recently discovered this great blog with helpful tips on organizing your life.  A good, quick read!)  But I seem to find every week there are setbacks – a sick child, unexpected emergencies, school projects and parties and so on and so forth.  So I am trying to simply take one day at time and enjoy the here and now to the fullest, not be overwhelmed by my mountain of laundry and never-ending list of to-do’s, and rejoice in the small miracles before me.  Please know I’m working my best to get back on track and I have many great things in store for 2010 for my clients.  It will be worth the wait!

And now on to the reason for this post…just recently I was contacted by a client with a question regarding family clothing choices.  Though I’m loving the new Spring Janie & Jack line, I found it was hard to coordinate clothing for Mom & Dad with these same colors.  So I created a quick family look with some transitional colors for the in between Winter and Spring seasons.  All of it was from the Gap.  And I’ll have more spring looks as the season unfolds.

Dream.

This lil guy was such a dream to work with…I couldn’t have asked for a more cooperative subject!   He was soooo sweet and such an angel for me, I had a hard time saying goodbye!  It’s no wonder that he arrived Christmas Eve, what a precious Christmas blessing to receive!  Thank you, mom, for having faith in me and inviting me to your home.

Sick Days.

My pre-marathon week expectations have gone down the drain…I had optimistically planned a productive week with a few short runs, birthday party preparations, plenty of carbo-loading and some serious progress on these sessions.  But no such luck.  I was in bed most of the week and truly afraid that I would miss out on the marathon all together.  Thankfully, a quick trip to the doctor, a Z-pack, a plethora of vitamin C and LOTS of rest has me feeling much better.

I haven’t gotten far on this session, but I’m starting to work on his announcement first.  Not wanting to give away too much, I thought I’d share a little sneak peek:

God speed to all my fellow runners on Sunday – see you at the finish line!

Blessed.

There is much to be thankful for as we reflect on the past year and look towards the future.  My heart overflows each time I get to spend time with and capture the miracle of a precious newborn baby.   I cannot get enough of their tiny fingers and toes, their sweet, soft skin, and the cute little noises they make.  It reminds me to hold on tight to these moments with my babies now as they grow up way too fast.

There were so many that I loved from this session…I remember getting giddy with excitement after editing some of these, I think I might have captured it just right.  Thanks for letting me be a part of such a special time in your lives, it truly is my privilege.
