My hubby and I got the opportunity to sneak away for the weekend to head to my favorite city – Austin, TX to see my favorite team, the Longhorns, play. Hook ‘em Horns! Though our trip was short, we had a great time catching up with friends, watching football and visiting Trudy’s before heading back…not to mention, I had the pleasure of meeting the newest addition to the B Family while I was there. Welcome, Baby I…

And as always, it was great to see Big Sis C, who was as charming as can be….

She is looking more like her mamma every day!

And I could not resist sharing this one…gotta love a Longhorn who bleeds burnt orange!

And lastly, I want to wish my dear friend S a Happy Birthday! Looking forward to celebrating with you girls over the holidays!

I am so blessed to know this sweet, sweet woman. She has such a giving, caring, loving spirit…it is obvious to all those that know her or even to those who are near her. I know it was in His plan that we should meet and become friends. God has taught me so much through her wisdom and faith in Him. He has great things in store for you, my friend! I still remember…my journey as a photographer began with KLB and I will never forget the first time we captured Baby C on camera. She was such an angel and I couldn’t have asked for a better session to start with. Here she is now, 2.5 yrs later!
Much love to you and yours…I love getting to see your girls grow so big!

When I was in HS I participated in a student exchange program to Russia to study Aerospace Engineering. Betcha didn’t know that I wanted to be an Astronaut in my former life, did ya?? It was a memorable, life-changing experience (as cliche as that sounds). One of the many things that I remember which came to mind tonight was the story of when we first introduced ourselves. The students from each state got together in groups and we were asked to name two things that describe our home state. Our group was uninamous in declaring that everything is BIGGER and more BEAUTIFUL in Texas (not to mention our egos too, huh?). Though I have heard that the girls from the Lone Star State are quite the beauties, am I wrong??
These lil ladies (Mom especially!) are no exception to that rule. They are drop-dead gorgeous from head to toe, inside and out. And I have have the lucky privilege of calling Mom my BFF, literally! {Side note: Now I know what you’re thinking, “…that girl sure does have a lot of BFFs!” Guilty, as charged. But it certainly doesn’t take away from how much I deeply love and cherish each one of them. They are like my sisters and I can honestly say that each one of them has made me who I am today.}
CSV has been my best bud since the 2nd grade…we have endured a lifetime of memories together and continue to do so as our children grow up together before our eyes. I love to see the qualities in her children that I have seen in her, a sweet and loving heart, a sharp, thoughtful mind, and a fun/gutsy/independent & sassy spirit! Just like her 4 sisters, she has a wise beyond her years outlook on life and lives it to the fullest…not to mention, it was non-stop hilarious hurt-your-belly laughter and a party all the time with the S gang!
Here’s a quick sneak peek for you, my sweet friend…

Forgive me for not posting more, but it’s past 3am and I am about to turn into a pumpkin! Besides the fact that my kids will soon be waking me up in a few hours…nighty night!
