Just like her mom, this lil lady possesses so many remarkable characteristics which I admire…determination,  perseverance, compassion, loyalty and courage, not to mention she’s driven, hard-working and modest.  She is a strong Christian, leading by action and example and not just intentions or words.  She excels in multiple sports – swimming, running, volleyball…and when she sets her mind to something, she goes after it full-force.  It has been such a blessing to see her grow up and mature into a responsible, caring young woman of such strong moral character.  It is a rare find these days, I must admit.  I can’t help but brag on her as if she was my own daughter.  I would be lucky if Kate grew to be the woman and role model that Laura has become.

I had an absolute blast during this session, Laura had her own entourage accompanying us.  I wish all my subjects had a stylist and makeup artist join us (a.k.a. Mom and Britt)!  Miss my girls and I look forward to the next time we get together!  Love you guys!!

LaLa, I love you lots and can’t wait to see what your future holds…

Love and admiration abounds.

This sweet family has a special place in my heart.  I have known this “lil guy” for over 10 yrs now and in that time I have witnessed the transformation of a young boy to a man.  It seriously made me tear up just thinking of how quickly time has flown by.  I am so proud of you, N, and I see great things ahead for you in your future.

Recently, mom was in a bicycle accident and broke her collar bone, shoulder blade, elbow and her pelvis in 3 places!  What was most amazing to me was the heroic strength and love shown on her road to recovery.

Thank you, Steph, for being such a great mom and an inspiration to me!   I cannot tell you how incredibly blessed I am by your friendship!

Full speed ahead…

This week has been fast and furious…I feel like I’ve been sprinting through life, hoping for just a quick moment to catch my breath before pushing through.  The good news – there is light at the end of the tunnel…the countdown to summer has begun!

Even more excited than me, this young man is only weeks away from graduation!  Can you imagine??  He is super adorable (Am I allowed to say that about boys over the age of 8 without embarrassing them?) and really sweet.  Such a great smile and so genuine.  And I can definitely see where he gets his good looks and charm from.  I had a great time with him and his mom last weekend.  Thank you, R, for indulging me in capturing what seemed to be a million or so images.  I promised it wouldn’t hurt, was I right?  Best of luck to you as you graduate and begin your future endeavors!

Well, I have to admit I’m a bit timid jumping into this new and unchartered territory, Seniors.  And by that I mean High School Seniors, not the kind over 65…just in case you were wondering!  Hee hee!  :)

I’ve only done a few seniors and it’s a whole different ballgame than babies or kids or families…they actually listen to you and sit in one spot!  But from what I’ve gathered so far, I think I’m really going to enjoy it!  I’m working on getting a few senior reps next year and have a site-in-progress dedicated especially to this endeavor…til then, here’s a few images from a recent session.  Enjoy!

If you’re currently a junior in HS and wanting to book your senior portraits for Spring/Summer 2010, I am booking now for February!
